Six students made it into the Harrison School for the Arts this year! Way to go, Kedrick A, Dan B, Parris C, Gisela P, Elisa V, and Andrew W!

Congrats to Andrew W and Elisa V for making All-County Chorus this year! Andrew also went on to All-State Chorus!

Seven students auditioned for All-County Band this past year… ALL SEVEN MADE IT! Three of them made 1st Chair!

Congratulations to Dan B and Kedrick A for making All-State Band!

Twelve students participated in the FMEA Solo & Ensemble Festival this year. ELEVEN received a Superior rating, and three went on to State Solo & Ensemble! Congrats to Raymond W, Mason G, and Dan B!

Of the 23 students who entered this year’s FSMTA Student Day Festival, 12 received State Honors, and nearly all received honors in at least one category. Way to go, kids!

There were 12 entries from our studio at this year’s Solo & Ensemble event on February 8th and 9th. NINE received the top rating, SUPERIOR! The other 3 received an EXCELLENT. Congrats to all students, and to their great band directors!!

Lisa B, Soprano, 9th grade at McKeel Academy, just won the talent show at her school! Way to go, Lisa!

Four out of the Five students who auditioned for this year’s All-County Band made it! Two of them made 1st Chair! Congrats to all!

Elisa V, Soprano, 7th grade at Lake Gibson Middle School, made the All-County Chorus. Way to go, Elisa!

Matthew O, Clarinet and Alto Sax, received the award “Most Outstanding Woodwind” from his band program at Lakeland Highlands Middle School. Very cool, Matt!

Jacob A, Tenor Sax, made it into the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in Jacksonville last spring. He began his freshman year there this past August. We’re proud of you, Jacob!

Twelve students participated in last year’s annual Student Day Festival, through the Florida State Music Teachers Association. Eleven of them made Honors in at least one category! Congrats to all!
