Fall Recital is next Sunday afternoon, December 2nd at 4:30 p.m. Please invite all family and friends! There will be solos, duets, ensembles, and an AMAZING guest artist! Music will be performed on piano, clarinet, saxophone, voice, and more.
The Fall Recital will be held in Lakeland, FL at College Heights United Methodist Church. Our guest artist will be Robert “Robertino” Scott Walker, Lakeland native and international opera singer and voice teacher.
About the guest artist Robertino
Robert “Robertino” Scott Walker, a native of Lakeland, Florida, has had quite the career in musical theatre. After graduating from Florida Southern College, where he studied voice with the renowned Barbara Wolfe, he went on to get his masters degree at New England Conservatory. He has performed more than 20 roles, most notably Jean Valjean, the lead character in the hit musical Les Miserables, for 350 shows in Chicago. After 15 years of musicals, he moved to Europe where he studied the true Bel Canto style of singing for 3 years. He then enjoyed a 17-year career singing opera in 23 different countries. During that time he started his own vocal academy in Stockholm, Sweden. He now operates his own voice studio here in Lakeland, and is adjunct faculty at Harrison School for the Arts. Robertino is also a part of the new Polk Performing Arts.
